In cooperation with the Nagoya Fashion Competition 2017 week, the World Shibori Network, organized by Mr. Hiroshi Murase, installed a select show of various fabrics and fashion of contemporary shibori techniques.
Joi Rae Textiles was pleased to exhibit the long vest “PLOP” made by hand felting methods. The surface design was prepared by applying Sumi ink to silk organza and cotton fabrics before laminating the materials into a seamless garment through traditional fulling methods.
