ザ・ Japanese bush warbler is reminding me that "spring has sprung", Rainy Season has arrived, and it's time to mark dates of the summer/autumn 2026 scheduling, some of which I'll introduce below.

I anticipate meeting up in New York City again during textile month at Design in Textiles Mary Jaeger's for a panel discussion and group exhibition on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 2pm.
Then in Basel, Switzerland for the 12th Internation Shibori Symposium (12 ISS) organized by Yoshiko Wada from Sept. 25-30.

On June 17, Jorie will appear in the livestream "Meet the Maker" for London-based Selvedge Magazine.

She will begin with a reflection on her long and unexpected life in Kyoto, Japan, often described as the eastern depot of the Silk Road. From there, she traces her journey westward to her first encounter with three-dimensional felt in the 1980s, at what she fondly calls the far end of the Silk, or Wool, Road.
